• I authorise Renasa Insurance Company Ltd to draw against the above account, the amount necessary for payment of the monthly premium every month until this arrangement is cancelled in writing by either party.
• I accept that if the debit date falls on a weekend or public holiday, we will be debited on the following working day.
• I am the authorised signatory on the above banking account and am authorised to apply for insurance on behalf of the company.
• I declare that I have applied for insurance cover on our mobile devices.
• I am aware of the first amount payable in the event of a claim.
• I am aware of the premium payable and that the premium will be deducted in the cover month via monthly debit order by Renasa Insurance Company Ltd.
• I understand that failure to pay the monthly premium will result in cover lapsing.
• I confirm that I am in possession of the mobile devices stated in the schedule.
• I understand that this declaration forms part of the policy of insurance.

General Conditions

• The policy provides financial compensation against theft, accidental damage or loss of insured device.
• Eligible gadgets: cellphones, tablets and electronic devices which are available for resell in South Africa.
• The policy owner needs to have insurable interest in the insured devices for cover under this policy.
• No fees, no cover.
• A 3 month waiting period applies on all monthly policies before any claim will be considered and the waiting will re-apply if there is a gap in cover created by non-payment of premiums.
• This contract is not transferable with the device.
• If an insured device is replaced by a new device, the policyholder needs to notify GENRIC.
• The Maximum amount payable will only apply if GENRIC is unable to replace/repair the device – the amount paid will however always be the lower of the claimed amount or the insured value of the device.
• If the claimed amount exceeds the market value of the repair/replacement, then the claimed amount will be limited to the market value (less the excess amount).
• GENRIC reserves the right to retain devices that are uneconomical to repair.
• Device serial numbers are required on all insured devices.
• IMEI codes are required, where such code exist.
• For theft claims a police case number and proof that the SIM card has been blocked will be required.
• All reasonable precautions need to be taken to protect the insured device/s from damage and theft.
• Insured devices need to have a protective cover and a screen protector.
• Dual Insurance – if the device is covered by another insurance policy for the same cover, then in the event of a valid claim we will pay a pro-rata amount based on the insured value of the device.

General Exclusions

• Cover beyond the period of insurance
• Cosmetic damage
• The repair/replacement due to wear and tear where wear and tear is defined as the ongoing weakening/deterioration which results naturally from use/age. Damage which existed prior to the inception of cover.
• The issuing of a new SIM card is not covered under this policy.
• Damage which occurs outside the borders of the Republic of South Africa or to a device not available in the Republic of South Africa.
• This policy does not provide for a loan device. Cover for the replacement of batteries. Damage caused by:
• Vandalism,
• Abuse,
• Neglect,
• Wear and tear
